SMC wreath auction highlights Holiday Bazaar

By Lee Coleman

The annual Hazen Arts and Crafts Association Holiday Bazaar Show took place last Saturday as large crowds kept the event hall buzzing.
Vendors had many varieties of arts and crafts and holiday gift ideas in the show that has become an annual ritual of attendance for many.
One of the highlights was the wreath auction held by Sakakawea Medical Center.
The wreaths were all handmade and donated for the auction in hopes of raising money to support the Christmas Giving Tree at the hospital.
“Most of the money will go to buy non-perishable goods and gifts from the Giving Tree that are picked up by others to buy,” said Bonnie Johnson of SMC. “
To buy a gift for a needy family or person, the tree will be up on Dec. 1 and gift-givers can go to the hospital and pick a paper ornament from the tree with buying instructions for the needy person or family.
