Snow piling up in Mercer County
As the snow piles up this winter, so do stories and recollections of recent winters past when high snowfall totals meant a flood battle in the spring.
While it is yet to be seen what spring 2011 has in store, one thing is for certain: Snowfall totals--and the moisture carried within those snowflakes--are beginning to add up so far this winter season.
According to National Weather Service meteorologist Patrick Ayd, their observer two miles northwest of Beulah reported that 30.4 inches of snow has fallen so far this winter in Mercer County.
