Tasting what Hazen can provide

By Daniel Arens
For people who want to see what Hazen has to offer, what better way to get a “taste” of the community?
On March 25, Hazen City Hall will feature a variety of different foods, put out by a variety of Hazen’s businesses. It’s the annual “Taste of Hazen” event.
Hazen Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Antoinette Heier said there will be a total of 22 booths this year, a little short of the 25 booths from last year’s event. They will feature a variety of appetizers, “main meal” courses and desserts, as well as possible beverages.
The event begins at 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults ages 18 and up, with $5 tickets for kids from ages 6-17 and free admittance for children 5 and under.
This year’s Taste of Hazen will feature a new event: the “Jail in Bail”. This game allows people to choose to send someone to a makeshift “jail” in the city hall
