Temperatures are providing ‘ultimate reprieve’
Golf clubs, shorts and flip-flops: All part of winter in North Dakota.
Wait, what?
By all accounts, record-high temperatures were set in Mercer County last week in what has been a steady string of days well above normal winter-time temperatures in North Dakota.
Jan. 5 was the peak of the warming trend, with cities across North Dakota setting record highs. The Beulah-Hazen area reportedly hit a daytime high of 60 degrees on Jan. 5, which according to The Weather Channel broke the area’s previous record of 59 degrees for that day.
