The time has come
After more than a half-century in the Mountain time zone, Mercer County will be switching to Central. A final rule signed by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood stated the decision was made to suit the "convenience of commerce" in Mercer County. The change will coincide with the end of Daylight Saving Time on Nov. 7, meaning Mercer County clocks won’t have to fall back that day.
