Tigirlily gives back with benefit show
By Lee Coleman
Local favorite Tigirlily, a.k.a. Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, will play a benefit concert Sunday, March 23, at 3:30 p.m. at the Hazen High School theater to help raise funds to offset enormous medical expenses incurred by the Unterseher family in the treatment of Hazen student Paiton Dilday.
Dilday has been under intense medical treatment over the last two years for a brain tumor, including brain resections, surgeries and, most recently, a stem cell transplant.
“We know how expensive medical bills are and how hard that it is for anybody to go through that,” said Krista. “Paiton is so strong, and we want to help his family out as much as possible. We will be doing a free will donation concert and we hope to get as much support from the community as possible.”
There will be an intermission during the show to collect the free will offerings.
“We know Hazen is a super-supportive community, and we’re just really excited about this whole thing,” added Krista. “Paiton has always been a positive guy and a good friend to me.”
