Time zone hearing May 14 in Hazen

A public hearing to collect the public’s comments on Mercer County’s potential switch to Central time will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 14 at Hazen City Hall in Hazen.

The hearing, scheduled to end at 10 p.m., will be led by U.S. Department of Transportation legal counsel Robert Ashby. Ashby anticipates he will have a sign-up sheet at the door, and people who wish to speak their viewpoint during the hearing will be asked to sign up and receive an allotted amount of time to speak.
