Vitalent will host upcoming blood drive

Hazen will once again host a community blood drive next week to help provide blood for those in need.
The blood drive will be held Jan. 15 at Hazen City Hall. The drive runs from noon to 6 p.m., and everyone is welcome to stop by and donate.
This will be the first blood drive put on by Vitalent. Recently, 10 blood centers unified under Vitalent to coordinate their approach to giving blood, including United Blood Services, which has put on the Hazen blood drives in the past.
“It’s all the talents of people go into all the services we provide,” Camille Jones, blood donor recruiter with Vitalent, said in commenting on the “talent” portion of the name. She pointed out the first part of the name, “vita”, is derived from the Latin word for “life”.
