Extension office to seek agent for vacancy
WASHBURN – The North Dakota State University Extension Office is on the search for a new Family Community Wellness Agent. At the McLean County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Extension District Director asked the commissioners their thoughts on seeking to fill the vacancy.

Safety corridors help reduce crashes
WASHBURN – A safety corridor installed here two years ago by the North Dakota Highway Patrol has reduced the number of fatal and severe crashes between 15 to 65 percent.

McLean County renews police contract for Washburn
M c L e a n C o u n t y Commissioners approved a policing contract to provide 7,103.96 hours of dedicated law enforcement time to the city of Washburn in 2023.

The Washburn Public School Board of Education has moved hire Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. to move forward with a plan up updating the school’s infrastructure.

These happy flowers are in full bloom in rural McLean County, which makes the sight even more breathtaking when the county gets to experience a vibrant sunset.
