Lung cancer took Mikala Jordan away from her family and friends on Aug. 8. The disease lasted almost three years in her body but moved faster than those around her were prepared to accept.
A promise was made to Mikala to have a benefit that would support her family. That promise was kept and that benefit is coming to fruition Sunday at the Washburn Memorial Building.
The public is welcome to attend the breakfast-style meal from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to a pancake and sausage breakfast, a silent auction and bake sale will also take place.
Mikala was the wife of Jesse and mother of Sawyer, who will turn 4 in October. The Jordans live in Bismarck. Mikala’s parents are Pam and Skip Oberg of Washburn and Chuck Diehl. Mikala was born and raised in Washburn.
