Wilton elementary and high schoolers got a first-hand look inside the world of robotics last week, as the school’s local club performed a live demonstration for the student body.
One of Wilton Public School’s most tech savvy clubs hit the gym floor on Thursday to show off their creation -- a fully functional robot.
Students in Wilton’s Robotics club, dubbed The Bot Patrol, explained the different parts of their robot on Thursday to a gym full of students and staff .
The students also demonstrated the capabilities of the bot, which could use continuous track propulsion to climb obstacles.
Adviser Stacy Boeshans said the robotics club builds and programs a robot from scratch each year, entering the robot into state competition. This year, Wilton’s team placed twelfth.
