Captain’s Cabin requests gaming vendor switch to Beulah CVB
In an effort to make a “business decision” a local establishment asked city leaders to move its gaming vendor away from the Washburn American Legion and to the Beulah Convention and Visitors Bureau.
During the commissions June 9 meeting held at the city Hall in Washburn, Captain’s Cabin Owner Scott Filz and Manager Eric Ogden approached the city leaders to request a different gaming vendor for machines within their establishment.
“This is not something we decided overnight,” Filz said. “Don’t think for one minute we don’t like the Legion – it’s a straight (up) business decision.”
