Carving out his niche

Martin Boganowski is always up for a challenge, whether it’s mastering a new trade, relocating to a new state or piecing together a shattered statue that some deemed beyond repair.
Since relocat ing to Washburn about 20 years ago, Boganowski, 80, has experienced numerous
changes, from meeting his wife, Carol, to learning how to become a powerhouse electrician late in his career.
The other part of his life that’s constantly evolving is his love for wood crafting. It’s a skill he picked up in his native Omaha and one he continues to refine in his downtown garage, located behind the McLean County Museum.
