Class act

Antenniel Neumiller, a fourth-grade teacher at Washburn Elementary School, has been named McLean County Teacher of the Year.
She is celebrated for her commitment to students, innovative teaching strategies and her ability to foster a sense of belonging in the classroom. This recognition highlights her dedication to creating a positive, supportive learning environment and the connections she builds with her students.
Washburn Elementary Principal Christina Reynolds explained the selection process involving Washburn Public Schools Superintendent Penny Veit-Hetletved that led to Neumiller’s nomination.
