Visitors looking to support a great cause while enjoying locally-grown bluegrass can look forward to this Saturday, July 30th’s 10th annual
Bluegrass goes Pink hosted by Jill Wiese and bluegrass band, Cotton Wood, at the Cross Ranch State Park. Bluegrass goes Pink is a yearly
fundraiser for the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation, where Wiese works as an RN. Wiese founded this event in honor of her late sister, Barb Wild, who died of breast cancer complications in 2002 at 50 years old. “Barb was a force of nature in fundraising and supporting several causes during her time on this Earth. She was an amazing nurse and role model and one of the strongest people I have ever met,” said Wiese. The event started out as a one-night concert with the proceeds donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation and blossomed into a yearly event.
