Construction company asked to fix project after portions did not meet specifications
The city of Wilton Council is asking a construction company to fix three sections of sewer main installed that did not meet specifications.
The council met July 2 at the City Hall in Wilton for its bi-monthly meeting. During the meeting City Engineer A.J. Tuck gave the council an update on the improvement project.
According to meeting minutes published in the Leader-News July 24, Tuck reported there were three sections of sewer main installed by open trench and one section installed by bursting that did not meet specifications for grade.
The council motioned and approved to have Tand Construction fix the three sections of sewer main installed by open trench.
Also during the meeting, Wilton Trailer Court owner George Stewart asked the city of Wilton to cover the cost of the asphalt to pave 150 feet of Louise Avenue in the trailer court, which is owned by the city.
