Goven start at Underwood, Washburn clinics

A familiar face to area folks will be donning her white coat locally again as Turtle Lake’s family nurse practitioner Jill Goven recently joined the staff of the Underwood and Washburn Clinics.
Goven, who has been in family practice since 1998, says she’s excited to start a new venture a little closer to home. For the past year and a half, she has been traveling to work at Sanford in Minot. The quick jaunts to Washburn on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Underwood Wednesdays and Fridays, will be a nice break, she said.
“I loved Sanford, but it was just so far to drive, so I’m starting here today,” she said with a smile Monday morning. “I’m excited to be here.”
She’s glad to be back in a more rural setting where she expects she will already know several of her “new” patients. Before working at Sanford, Goven was a nurse practitioner with Northland Health Center in Turtle Lake and CHI St. Alexius Health in Turtle Lake.
