Interpretive Center remodel will draw new crowds

By Michael Johnson, Editor

You may have heard about Lewis and Clark before. They get talked about quite often around these parts. Chances are there are things you will learn you never thought possible when you enter into the newly remodeled Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in February. The Interpretive Center has been working on a remodel project for quite some time and everything is finally falling into place according to Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation vice president Wendy Spencer. “We're just excited to be able to exhibit Lewis and Clark,” Spencer said. For the last year and one half they have not been able to tell the story as usual about the journeys of Lewis and Clark. A year ago, the demolition phase was completing and construction of the new exhibits was to start followed closely by the expansion of the building. That schedule was tossed, but soon when people enter the building they will be drawn into the famous Lewis and Clark characters right away, as their images will be spotlighted right as you enter.
