Lions renames carnival in honor of Nelson
The Washburn Lions Club has dedicated their annual event to a long time Lion who died last year. The Lion’s Club is set to host their 92nd Carnival on March 18th at the Washburn Memorial Building. Moving forward, the Lions Carnival has been renamed ‘The Morris Nelson Lions Carnival’ to honor Morris Nelson, a 75-plus-year member of the Washburn Lions who passed away on May 11th, 2022.
