A criminal complaint will be issued by the McLean County State’s Attorney after an Underwood woman confessed to taking more than $5500 through the month of November from the Dollar General store in Underwood.
On Sunday, Jan. 26,  Melody Repnow, manager of Dollar General, confessed to taking $5500 -- a combination of cash, gift cards, food and merchandise, from the Dollar General in Underwood.
According to the affidavit submitted by McLean County Sheriff’s Deputy Tanner Lee Altenhofen, he was informed by a representative of Dollar General that Underwood’s Dollar General had the highest lost revenue of any Dollar General in the country at that point in time within a month time span, shortly after Repnow became manager.  Dollar General had a digital trail accounting for the revenue loss that led to Repnow.
Repnow had signed a confession at Dollar General before Altenhofen arrived on scene, then altered her confession to say she couldn’t have taken that amount of money, before eventually confessing to taking the entire $5500.
