January
• The first month of 2018 featured a recall election in Washburn, where the city’s Commission President Larry Thomas re-claimed his spot on the board.
• Over 200 people showed up to take part in and witness Donkeyball at Wilton Public School. The National Honor Society fundraiser garnered around $650.
• WAEDA welcomed North Dakota government officials to speak during the organization’s annual meeting. Two board spots were filled during the meeting, with Tony Thoreson joining as a first-timer.
• The 2018 Taste of Washburn event raises $1,984.
• The Washburn City Commission moves forward with the water intake upgrade, authorizing final design to be completed by AE2S.
