‘From seed to sip … that’s what Made in America means’

In a commercial filled with Clydesdales, a soaring eagle and sweeping farmland, a McLean County farmer helped Budweiser tell its story to more than 120 million viewers.
“American Icons” is Budweiser’s newest commercial highlighting 150 years of the brand being in America, which is celebrating its 250th birthday this year – showcasing a bald eagle, the famous Budweiser Clydesdales and Brian Fransen, a local farmer representing all of America’s agricultural community from his farm in Coleharbor.
With the commercial officially airing during the NFL Championship game Feb. 8, Budweiser Head of Marketing Kristina Zackler said the company knew “we had to do something special.”

Highlighting American agriculture
Zackler said the company was “excited” to feature a real barley farmer in the commercial this year.
“It’s really an opportunity for us to celebrate and acknowledge all the people who have worked the last 150 years to produce, deliver and enjoy this great-tasting, high-quality American beer,” Zackler said.
