‘Till we meet again’

Socrates once said, "The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new."

A change of lifestyle, 36 years in the making, is currently underway in the Anderson household.

Washburn United Methodist Church Pastor Peder Anderson is retiring from his service as minister of the Missouri Valley Parish.

Washburn, Turtle Lake and Center have "been blessed" to have him as their leader for several years.

A special celebration to wish Peder and his wife, Bonnie, farewell took place in Washburn this past Sunday.

Peder stressed the day was "not about honoring him, but worshiping and honoring God."
