"As stylists, we're ground shakers and day makers. Setting trends, while fostering that special connection between a person's inner and outer self." - Rebecca Gregory

Wilton's hair salon has a new owner. Marlene Notch recently bought "Jeanine's Trendz," changing the name to "Marlene's Trendz," and she's ready to "make your day."

Notch, a McClusky native, brings 16 years of hair dressing experience to the table, or should we say styling chair? She graduated from R-D Hairstyling College in 1997 and began employment with Cost Cutters, Bismarck, shortly thereafter.

After dedicating 11 years to the salon, and working her way into the assistant manager position, she decided to open her own business in 2010. She rented a booth at Timeless Salon & Spa for two-and-a-half years before opening in her current location on Bismarck's Memorial Highway.

Helping to push her forward as a business owner was Notch's attainment of an associates degree in human resources from Aakers Business College in 2007.

Although Notch continues to operate in the "capital city," she said her ultimate goal is to work full-time in Wilton. Notch said she will slowly transition into her new role.
