McLean County Commission approves mining actions, opens bids
The McLean County Commission approved miningrelated resolutions, opened construction bids and acted on several administrative and planning matters during its regular meeting Tuesday, March 17.
According to meeting minutes published in the McLean County Independent April 16, Commissioners Curt Olson, Steve Cottingham and Steve Lee approved minutes from the March 3 meeting and authorized the purchase of a new desktop computer for the sheriff’s department. The $1,437.50 computer will be used to charge, back up and update department tasers and will be added to an existing service contract with NRG Technology Services for an additional $62 per month.
Road Superintendent Jim Grey reported crack sealing efforts are continuing as weather permits and road blading will take place when conditions allow. Grey also noted all department fuel tanks have been filled due to rising fuel costs. Commissioners shared road concerns they had received from residents.
