Superintendent Barb Kady's performance evaluation was approved "overall satisfactory" by the Wilton School Board at their Dec. 10 meeting.

After reviewing the comments made by school board members, Kady said, "I'd like to say thank you for all of the comments and suggestions, and I will take those and run with those. It's been a challenging fall. I've not gotten done what I intended to get done this fall, but we'll get there...we'll catch up and run faster this spring."

President Lodee Arnold replied, "I would like to say thank you for everything you've done for us. (As a board) you make it so easy for us. You allow us to ask questions and you answer them very genuinely and very politely. It doesn't matter what we ask. And if you don't know the answer, you find the answer for us and I appreciate that very much."

Kady replied, "And I appreciate your input, too. You are very thoughtful and very thorough and I appreciate that because it takes all of us."

In other areas of discussion, the board approved Chad Thorson's request to use the school's gym on Sunday evenings to play basketball with other community members. Kady recommended, and the board approved, waiving the user fee, as the event would benefit the community, not just Thorson.
