Pete Moe: 30 years of inspiring greatness

As fans bundle in mittens and scarves, huddling together to conserve heat, they use the little energy the weather will allow to proudly cheer on their team. From the sidelines, a low powerful voice overstates them all, catching the attention of every player on the field. The Washburn Cardinal football team listens to the instruction and guidance carefully, strictly following the sideline’s call for an upcoming play. The team trusts that the selected play is the right decision, and follows in organized and structured ease. They have practiced for this game, mentally and physically, for weeks. Giving their blood, sweat and tears to the field, all of the young men know that they are being guided by the best. For the past 30 years students and football players alike have been learning the fundamentals of athletics and life from Pete Moe.
