Public rallies around coach who lost early March home to fire
After a fire claimed the home of Joshua Sharp, community members quickly got to work arranging for help for the Washburn Cardinals coach. Sharp, the head coach for the Washburn boys, lost his home in Bismarck to a fire on Friday. To help Sharp, his wife and their children recoup losses and work to rebuild, the boys basketball team is hosting a silent auction at the school later this month. An auction is set for Jan. 24 during basketball games at Washburn Public School, with all money going to Sharp and his family.
