Calling all area youth to a night of music, free food, games and prizes!

The youth of McLean County are the main focus of the Spring Youth Jam, taking place at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 30 at Washburn’s United Methodist Church.

The 2nd annual event will feature the music and ministry of regional recording artists, Seven Day Jones, in conjunction with Live Different Ministries.

Chris and Linette Lippert are the founders of Live Different Ministries, a non-profit organization geared towards reaching out to youth in rural communities.

The Lipperts draw attention to Jesus through the use of music, drama and media events throughout the Midwest. They feel especially drawn to rural communities, like Washburn.

Linette said, "Live Different is about making an impact in the lives of students and adults in rural communities. We exist to help reach out to students with the love of Jesus; we want them to know they are not alone, that there is hope and they have a purpose."
