Tat a teacher
A new fundraising idea will leave its mark on Washburn teacher volunteers next week.
Washburn Public School is hosting a Tat the Teacher Fundraiser on Sept. 23.
“This fun and wacky event is sure to get everyone talking – and laughing – all day long,” stated a press release issued by the WEA Fun Committee.
According to Washburn Superintendent Penny Veit-Hetletved, this is the first time this fundraiser has been done in Washburn.
“It was an idea from the WEA to help fund the teacher appreciation cart,” Veit-Hetletved said.
