Golfers, you can finally stop dreaming about putting new greens along the Painted Woods Creek.

The golf course is celebrating the soft opening of its newly renovated 18-hole course tomorrow.

The celebration begins at 9 a.m. with sponsors and volunteers getting the first "sneak peek." The public is welcome shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Board President Trevor Leidy said, "This has been almost 15 years in the making."

In 2006, Al Carvell offered Painted Woods administrators a deal they couldn’t refuse – 130 acres of land, adjacent to the nine hole course, at a fair price.

The land was purchased and after about five years of seriously considering their options, a plan was drawn up in 2012.
