United Methodist Church celebrates groundbreaking

Cars drove up and parked on the leveled hilltop. Gathered at the bottom of a large wooden cross were 10 golden shovels. Getting out of their cars, the crowd gathered around the cross. The United Methodist Church congregation met together on Sunday at the new church site as the first piece of ground was ceremonially broken in celebration of a new beginning and journey. Pastor Peder Anderson led the group in a prayer of dedication for the land and songs of worship.
