Washburn airport receives more than $670K in grants
The Washburn Airport has received $677,338 in federal grant money for its upcoming project.
In a press release issued in June from the office of Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota), it was announced the Washburn Municipal Airport received $322,254 from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration.
The money is set to be used for a new 200-foot taxilane midfield to provide airfield access to a nonexclusive hangar development area to bring the airport into conformity with current standards.
The Washburn airport was one of five airports in North Dakota to receive funding through the FAA.
