District revamps plan with alternatives

Washburn Public School District No. 4 will hold a special meeting to call for a vote on its school renovation project. During the Board of
Education meeting Oct. 10, the board members passed a resolution in a 6-0 vote for general obligation school building bonds. The resolution is asking the for the maximum of bonds to be issued of $7,900,000, for the purpose to provide funds, together with any other
funds available, to construct an addition to the existing facility, to make improvements to school property and to otherwise improve and
renovate school property. According to the resolution, the assessed valuation of all taxable property in the school district is $158,903,652. The total amount of bonded indebtedness of the district, issued for school building purposes, is $0.
