Washburn school accepts bid for lower fuel cost
In trying to find ways to cut costs, especially during a construction project, Washburn Public Schools has accepted a bid to help lower the cost of fuel for its bus fleet.
During the Aug. 11 Washburn Public School’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Penny Veit-Hetletved told the board she sought fuel bids to help find the lower cost. Of those, two businesses declined to place a bid.
However, Enerbase did place a bid for $0.10 below pump prices.
