Washburn water system reports no violations in 2025

The city of Washburn’s annual drinking water quality report shows the community’s water system remained in compliance with all federal and state drinking water regulations throughout 2025 and recorded no violationsof the Safe Drinking Water Act.
The fi ndings were included in the city’s 2026 Consumer Confi dence Report, which summarizes water quality monitoring conducted during 2025.
The report states that Washburn’s water supply consistently met or exceeded regulatory requirements and that city offi cials continue to prioritize providing safe and dependable drinking water to residents.
Washburn’s drinking water is sourced from the Missouri River and treated before distribution to customers.
According to the report, a source water assessment completed in cooperation with the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality classified the city’s water source as “moderately susceptible” to potential contaminants, though offi cials noted the city’s treatment process has historically met drinking water standards.
