Young entrepreneurs lined up outside of Washburn Public School last Tuesday for the common goal of raising funds to pay off their loans and donate incoming profits to local organizations.

They did this by whipping up sweet varieties of pink and regular lemonade.

Spearheading the June 29 event was Title 1 Elementary teacher Brooklyn Schaan, who along with fellow summer-school instructors — Mrs. Hochhalter and Mrs. Frigon — presented youngsters in grades K-6 with the hands-on business challenge.
