Wild, windy in Wilton

Hundreds braved the weekend wind and showed up for this year’s Wild in Wilton celebration.
Some gusty conditions weren’t enough to keep locals away from the annual day of entertainment and family fun put on by the Wilton Park Board.
A Friday pub crawl got the community in the mood for the next day’s activities. Saturday was kicked off by a 5K, followed by a complimentary breakfast sponsored by the Union Bank and Wilton City Hall. After a parade through town, a plethora of activities for all ages kicked off at the south park.
Kids were welcomed to take part in crafts, like clay pot decorating and straw rocket building. Vendors filled the large tent in the park, offering knick knacks for those looking to do some shopping while at the fundraiser.
