Wilton approves street repairs, plans fireworks restrictions

The Wilton Board of City Commissioners approved more than $60,000 in street repairs and took steps toward limiting fireworks use during its regular meeting Aug. 8.
City Engineer AJ Tuck reported that Quality Asphalt was scheduled to be in Wilton during August to complete warranty work. In addition, Tuck identified $60,846 in asphalt repairs outside the warranty coverage, including major work needed at the intersection of Seventh Street and Burleigh Avenue.
Commissioners unanimously approved proceeding with the repairs. Officials said remaining Prairie Dog Funds and 2021 Improvement Project funds will cover the cost.
