Wilton bond gets tentative approval

The $8.9 million Wilton Public School bond looks to have gotten a seal of approval from voters last week, who unofficial results
show narrowly passing the referendum. According to the school, roughly 450 ballots were cast in the Nov. 15 election, which aims to fund a school renovation. Preliminary results show 274 voters in favor of the bond, with 173 against, giving a 61 percent approval. In order to pass, the referendum needs 60 percent approval. The election results will be finalized after a canvassing meeting on Nov. 28, when the Wilton Public School board will move to accept the results.
