Wilton commissioners approve burn ban, bond use at May 20 meeting
The Wilton City Commission approved a series of routine and business items during its regular meeting May 20, including a 2026 burn ban, use of remaining municipal bonds and several financial account changes.
Commissioners approved the city’s annual burn ban, which will remain in effect through Oct. 31.
The board also approved a request from representatives of the University of Mary and Bravera Bank to use the city’s remaining 2026 Municipal Industrial Development Act bonds. The commission noted the city is not financially responsible for bonds used by another entity. Two public hearings will be scheduled at a later date regarding the bonds.
