Wilton School approves partnership for 2026-27

The Wilton Public School Board approved a new educational partnership designed to expand career and academic opportunities for students during its regular meeting June 22.
According to meeting minutes published in this  week’s Leader-News, board members unanimously approved a one-year agreement with the company SUBJECT for the 2026-27 school year at a cost of $10,000. Principal Cori Hilzendeger presented the proposal, which would provide students access to additional educational pathways and online coursework not currently available through the district.
School leaders said the platform would offer courses in business, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, cosmetology and credit recovery.
District officials noted SUBJECT is already being used by two North Dakota schools. Agricultural and medical pathway courses would continue to be offered through the Career Academy and Regional Career and Technical Center.
