Cardinal Boys Basketball gets ready for regular season

With the start of the regular season right around the corner, the Washburn Cardinals boys basketball squad hosted a three team scrimmage on Saturday, December 1. Participating in the scrimmage alongside the Cards, were Drake-Anamoose and Linton HMB.
Starting off the morning against the Raiders of Drake-Anamoose the Cardinals looked to hit the floor running, and that they did, moving the ball crisply and scoring efficiently. The Cardinals looked good offensively, and with only a few minor hiccups defensively the look geared up to stat the regular season. The Cards were led on the morning by the senior trio of Alex Retterath, Carter Knutson and Justin Scheresky, with junior guard Jack Retterath and sophomore sharpshooter Parker Jacobson showing up as key contributors.
Freshman Ethan Retterath, Josh Laning and Brady Vollmuth all showed off their promise during the session.
