Cardinals corral Coyotes
Coming into Monday night, the Washburn Cardinals were looking to notch that signature victory that would set the season off into new heights, squaring off against an always tough and capable Grant County group, the Redbirds were hoping that this would be the night.
From the beginning of the first set, the Cards were looking to set the tone, and chart the course for the match. Determined not to let the Coyotes jump out to the lead, senior Dara Beck let her defensive effort take over, as she was all over the court leading the Cards to a huge 25-20 opening set win.
