Cardinals Get By Raiders at Home

Less than a week after falling to Drake/Anamoose in the third place game at the Washburn- Wilton Volleyball Tournament, the Washburn Cardinals got their revenge by beating the Raiders in four sets. It wasnʻt a great start for the Cardinals. Although some players did produce a few highlights, it was small mistakes that cost the Cards the game. Sydney Schmit and Molly Jennings did their usual thing
at the net going for five and ten kills, respectively, over the course of the match. Sydney Shoemaker made a spectacular play in the back row for one of her 12 kills on the night. Even after some extra volleyball in set one, Washburn was unable to comeback from down 9-17 and lost 26-28.
