Cardinals softball is here. The team which head coach Katie Kulzer and the community pulled for has arrived. This last week the Cardinals came home to face the Westhope Sioux. After beating Ray 10-9, and tying them 18-18, the Cardinals-run production has skyrocketed since their first games of the season. They sat at 2-4-1 as of now and were hoping to head to five hundred after their Westhope series.

Emily Russell got the start on the mound and pitched well striking out 10, but gave up 10 runs on 11 hits. The Cardinals bats were a bit cold until the fourth inning when they got on the board with their first run. Hannah Retterath had two hits to lead the Cardinals, but they fell to the Sioux 10-4 in game one.
