Class A baseball in Washburn this week

The Washburn American Legion Post 12 baseball team heads into the Class A division tourney this Wednesday, hosting the tournament scheduled for July 22-26.
Post 12 takes an 18-9 overall record into the tournament, 2-4 for the conference at the end of the regular season.
The boys of Post 12 went 3-4 this past week, taking both ends of a doubleheader over the Mandan A’s last Monday, dropping a pair of games to Velva Tuesday, before winning a pair with Watford City Wednesday and falling to Makoti 7-4 this past Thursday.
Washburn and Watford City were set to get the tournament started Wednesday at noon.
