Lady Cardinals bury the Bison

Hustle and teamwork were the order of the day for the home team Cardinals (2-5) in their convincing 39-27 win over Hazen last Monday night.
The Jan. 3 event saw little scoring in a 6-6 first quarter in which Washburn hit the boards hard and pushed the ball throughout, but attempted several poorly-executed shots.
Brynn Hyttinen scored four of the six points by going baseline for the smooth finish at 4-2 and later by flashing her dribble penetration skills on a drive at 6-4 with 48 seconds left in the quarter.
