Let’s go, Aggies!
The Velva Aggies Varsity cheer squad is off to a strong start this season with 11 team members. There are five returning athletes and six freshmen.
The Aggies Cheer Team started its school year with a Universal Cheer Association home camp in June.
They started their practices on August 1.
Since that first practice, the cheerleaders have mastered 72 cheers and one dance. The girls plan to add the remainder of their dances in the coming weeks.
The squad also started a new tradition this season incorporating younger students.
