Miners enter 2025 season with youth, depth, and ambition
A new boys’ basketball season is underway for the Wilton-Wing Miners, and while the roster is young, the expectations are anything but.
Head Coach Scott Wolff enters the 2025 campaign with a deep, talented group and a schedule built to test them early and often.
According to Wolff, that combination is exactly what the Miners need to position themselves for a postseason run.
“We have high expectations,” Wolff said. “We return some good players and have a nice B team, so we feel by the end of the year we will be in the mix of winning a district and region title.”
The Miners will lean on a blend of experienced upperclassmen and skilled underclassmen as roles settle into place.
Senior center William Bergquist (6’6”) anchors the frontcourt, bringing length and physicality to the paint.
Junior guards Hudson Wolff and Caiden Cleveland provide leadership and pace in the backcourt, while juniors Kaleb Benning and Ty Earsley add toughness and versatility.
